Bob Graham's book Has anyone here seen William is a great mentor book. This a funny and warm book about a little boy just learning to walk and his family. Bob Graham brings life to all his children's books with some degree of realism. I love how his books are based on families, pets, and children. In this book, once William started walking nobody could stop him or keep up with him. He was on the move! The million-dollar question was always "Has anyone here seen William?" Bob Graham's illustrations are vibrant and fun. I love how he used the word bubbles to show when the characters are speaking. The word Crash is in squiggle writing almost hear the sounds as well as the fear as to what has gone on in the next room! I love everything about Bob Graham's books and I am so glad I chose him for my author study!!! ( ) Working through Graham's catalog, the ones I can get from my library system. Unfortunately this isn't nearly as amazing as Let's Get a Pup! Said Kate" or "Oscar's Half Birthday." Still, I recommend it, because it's got Graham's trademark touches that mean it's more adorable than other books on the theme. In this case, I love noting that all four kids share a room, and though it's clear that they do bicker, as normal children do, they still manage to love each other. And yes, I'm sorry, but it is easy to misplace a child for a minute or two -- you're not a bad parent if, a few times a year, you wonder where your little escape artist wandered off to." When William, an adventurous little boy, takes his first step, the commotion begins. His family can hardly keep an eye on him because he is always wondering off. On a family picnic, William ventures off to feed the ducks in the pond. Then, at the mall, twice at his birthday party, and even after everyone falls asleep, William continues his mischief, leaving his family asking, “Has anyone seen William?” This comical story reminds readers of what it is like to have a young toddler around, who just learned how to walk and is constantly getting into things. William's family is far from ready when he takes his first steps and begins walking. They just cannot seem to keep up with him, nor an eye on him. This kids gets into everything, everywhere. I think this book is great for children that have an older infant/young toddler in the home. After reading it to them, perhaps they can share their stories of their younger sibling. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
When William is supposed to be indoors, he's out in the garden eating the daffodils. On family picnics, he ends up in a muddy pond feeding the ducks. On his second birthday, he vanishes completely with hilarious results. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
