This is a reread for me but I had no memory of the story. Definitely a fun fast romantic suspense read. I’ve read most of the books in the series although I think I might have missed one. ( )

This was a fun conclusion to the Fortune Hunter series, and a nice wrap-up to the Lost Texas Hearts one as well. I'd read the LTH series a few years ago, so not all the details are still hanging around my brain, but I did read the FHs all in the last few weeks and that was the one that was really brought together by this novel. Any of the series could be read on their own, but it becomes much more complete to have read them all--and in order. Though it's easy to get aggravated with Gabriel in this novel--he really does act rather boneheaded at times--at the same time Dodd does give fairly reasonable reasons for him to believe and do the things he does. Hannah definitely has more to overcome in this novel than the other three heroines, and she does so in style. If my to-read pile weren't out the roof, I'd re-read the Lost Texas series this summer as well--who am I kidding? It'll probably be more sooner than later. ( )

My least favorite of both series - I was disappointed in the plot, I suppose (I tend to be hyper-critical of health care-related plots), and the wrap-up felt rushed with too little presence of the ancillary cast. That said, it's still Dodd's writing and wonderful characters - ALWAYS worth a read. ( )

Danger in a Red Dress wraps up two series by Christina Dodd: the Fortune Hunters and the Lost Texas Hearts. Gabriel Prescott is the link. He is both a Manly brother and the foster brother of the Prescott sisters. An extremely complicated character, his story is both unique and tragic. This is an excellent read that I would recommend. Wonderful wrap up to a superb series. This series was incredibly fun to read, then again how can you go wrong with four delicious men combined with sexy suspense plots? This wasn't my favorite of the four but I loved how all of the past characters came back to make an appearance. ( )
