While interesting, this book is more of a history book on a light note; one cannot readily look-up Canadian surnames. That said, I did enjoy the perspective it offered and kept it as a reference for my writing. I have used to to try to give a little more of a Canadian flare.

That said, it is not going to go in depth on Canadian history or the origins. This is really a gentle skimming that goes more in depth than most name books. Say, between a history book and a name book.
