They're chasing some big bad who's using other people to maneuver and fight the JSA. I'm more of a JLA person, but I really liked the stories of the various members and their descendants (or in Power Girl's case, her lack of). And that's another reason I liked the start of these three volumes. The fact that Power Girl had a central-ish role. There never seems to be enough Power Girl in DC's continuity so this was a fun TPB to read. (And they even let her out of her costume, double yay).
