I was excited when I found this book. I thought it would be perfect to read to my oldest who is a new big brother but was disappointed. The illustrations are cute but the story is simple and boring. It failed to excite my two year and me. The little boy in the story talks about what he likes to do and how he can help baby do things. I think the thought behind the book is sweet but there just isn't much to it. ( )

Great for an only child or older sibling. Expresses how being an older sibling can be helpful, comforting and fun. While also explaining that want to be “the baby” as well. I personally enjoyed reading this to my oldest, who is more like the little boy in the book. Who is very independent and watchful of her siblings, but seeks us to have quality time together. This is a great reminder for anyone that may be in the presence of children to try and give then equal attention. ( )

This story is told by the eyes of a little boy who just became a big brother. Now he has a new baby at home that needs a lot of care and attention. The baby has a hard time doing things and the bog brother must help to makes things better for his brother. I like this story because many children have a difficult time adjusting to a new baby and may feel left out to not loved anymore. This book reminds all the big brothers and sisters that they are such an important part of the family and their help and cooperation with the new baby is priceless. ( )
