This book was about a pig, mouse, and a duck that are going to make cow a birthday cake. But duck had only turnips on the brain. Pig and mouse are irritated over it but turns out cow loved the turnip but didn't acknowledge the cake.
This was a colorful and easy to follow book. I really like this author. This would be a good book on a birthday in the classroom. Students can easily follow along and make predictions. ( )

This book has wonderful pictures and colors. The story is good too. It talks about a group of friends wanting to make a cake for their friend and the duck only wanted to give a turnip. What was unexpected is the cow ended up having much appreciation for the turnip and nobody else was expecting that. ( )
