Some of the tongue twisters in this book I remembered from childhood books and school. Many of them I'd never seen before. Some are short, a few are long. Some are much harder than others.

In his introduction Mr. Schwartz makes a claim for a certain tongue twister as being one of the hardest in the English language. I've tried to say it five times as quickly as I could. My tongue always gets hopelessly tangled on the second try.

Besides tongue twisters in English, we're treated to twisters in the following tongues: French (3), German (1), Greek (1), Hebrew (1), Hungarian (1), Italian (2), Japanese (1), Polish (1), Spanish (5). Each of those twisters is given in its original language, a pronunciation guide, and in English.

A gem from my childhood. Not the most amazing book in the world, but I used to love it!! "If one doctor doctors another, does the doctor who doctors the doctor doctor the doctor the way the doctor he is doctoring doctors? Or does he doctor the doctor the way the doctor who doctors doctors?" Come on... ya gotta love it!
