There are more than 30 "Almost Instant" recipes that they have nicely labeled and are interspersed throughout. These are the ones that you can make while the pasta cooks. However, except for just a few fussy recipes, even the non-instant ones are pretty easy and straightforward to make.
The main organization of the chapters is cooking method (pesto, soups, salad, stove top, baked) and then for the stove top, they've broken that down between vegetable or tomato or dairy based. Within each section, the recipes are grouped nicely, even if it's not always clear how they are being grouped. Once I find a recipe that sounds like something I might want to make, I usually am able to look around at the other recipes either before or after and find alternatives that have a similar mood.
