Appartiene alle SerieDr. Alan Gregory (Omnibus 12-13)
Blinded: Psychologist Alan Gregory has a new patient: Gibbs Storey, whose looks turn grown men into dazzled adolescents. She tells Alan that she thinks her husband, Sterling, may have murdered one of her friends. Gibbs then stuns Alan with another revelation: she thinks there are other victims ... and that her husband will kill again. Struggling with a strict confidentiality agreement, Alan walks a perilous ethical line and starts a search for a missing Sterling Storey and a string of innocent victims. But are they too late to stop more killings? Missing Persons: Hannah Grant was covering Alan Gregory's practice over the Christmas period, but when he and another colleague called at her office they discovered her dead body. On Christmas Day a fourteen-year-old girl is reported missing - eight years to the day after another missing child had been discovered murdered - a girl who had she lived would have been fourteen. It emerges that the parents of the latest missing girl had been treated by Alan years ago, and recently the girl had consulted Hannah. Are these tangential connections mere coincidences'... A woman comes into psychologist Alan Gregorys office with a confession that her husband is a serial killer. This causes Alan some real problems with confidentiality which is at the same time being challenged by other patients who find their affairs are being broadcast to the public. At the bottom of it all is a bug that has been placed in his consulting room but who would do that? All is not what it seems in this riveting novel with an unexpected ending. At the same time both Alan and his cop friend Sam Purdy are having some difficulties in their private lives which gives an interesting background to the characters.
Missing Persons - This story of a girl gone missing, a colleague dead and a closer colleague in danger brings a confidentiality nightmare to psychologist Alan Gregory. It also
brings him into conflict with his detective pal Sam Purdy. This story is a fascinating insight into the worlds of psychology and policing, and for good measure is a 'cracking good read'. ( )
