Sometimes it can be tough when people constantly confuse you with your twin, or when you are asked if you and your twin share thoughts. This book goes through several questions that twins are asked, daily. The truth is that when a person sees a set of twins, we are curious to know what it’s like being a twin. Rubel included some famous twins from around the world in this book, as well as children who were interviewed about being a twin. There is information about how twins are formed, and the chances of someone having a set of twins. Rubel even includes some riddles about twins in this picture book. I would share this book in a class where I have a set of twins, so that the students can understand more about their peers. Or this book can be shared just to inform students on the different types of twins there are. Twice as Nice: What It's Like to Be a Twin, explains what twins are and how they are formed. It also describes how some people love being twins and some people do not. It showcases famous sets of twins and gives a brief description about them as well as giving interviews from twins. I felt like the book did provide some good information about twins such as explaining how twins are formed and pointing out that despite being twins, the two people are individuals. Other than a few good points, I felt like the book was disjointed. It jumped around topics about twins on every page and I sometimes felt like some of the information presented was not necessary. For example, at one point the author has riddles about twins. Although it fit under the twin theme, it felt out of place. This story is about twin sisters, the questions they are asked, and activities they like to do. The author also includes information on different twins throughout history and famous twins. The science involved is also mentioned in the book. This book is very informative and educational. The twin girls mention things that they like about being twins and do not like. They also mention the questions that bother them. It could help parents, friends, and teachers who around twins. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
