This book is about a man named Engelbert Sneem and his dream vacuum machine. He goes around at night and sucks up peoples good dreams and stores them away in his castle. One little boy decides to outsmart him. When Engelbert takes his dream it turns out to be a nightmare about himself and Engelbert sees himself as he really is, a villan. So he decides to only suck up bad dreams so no one ever has to dream them again.

This was a wonderful book with a a great message. This would be a great book to help little children who have bad dreams.

This could be used in the classroom in a unit over dreams or over poetry. It could also be used to teach children that even though someone was bad to begin with, they can change for the better. ( )

Clever story about a reformed dream-stealer with wonderfully vibrant illustrations. Some pages had too much text, but then others were nice and concise so it balanced out. ( )
