This is a book about basic counting. It helps children see visual representation of the number and well as the number itself. It's easy for them to figure out the number if they have something to count.

the illustrations on this book really were captivating. I think that for a young child first learning their numbers it would certainly keep their attention. I liked the use of traditional, classic fairytales on each page to explain a counting sequence. This might help them identify such stories later in childhood. The print was big which I liked, and the colors were very bright.

Spend a few minutes inside the world of fairy tales and primitive artwork and learn your numbers as well- what could be better? Each page features familiar fairy tale characters from 1 to 10 and back again. Beware the big bad wolf's ten large teeth and look carefully under all four mattresses for a tiny pea. At the end of the book, you are treated to an index of fairy tales to find throughout the book. ( )

I think that this book is really good for children learning to count. The book first counts from 1-10 using things that are colorful and that a recognizable. Then the book counts down again from 10-1 using different things than in the first sequence. It has detailed art and it is something that any young child would like to look at. ( )

I love the way that this book incorporates popular fairy tales into the counting. I also liked that it used both the number and the number word. A very cute counting book for kids! ( )
