As magical and timeless as the Hundred-Acre Wood may be, it is also a place of exploration and discovery. For Pooh and his friends to learn and grow, they must try new things. And trying something new can be difficult, even a little scary. Trying new things is often hard for children - and for adults, too. But trying something new with Winnie the Pooh always makes theh worries and bothers seem less threatening. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

"Something New" - 4 stars
Christopher Robin wants to spend the day doing something new and different, so he and Pooh push each other out of their comfort zone with a game of follow-the-leader that has Pooh attempting cartwheels -- Oh, dear! -- and Christopher Robin writing hums. Piglet joins in the fun.
"Just Try It, Dear" - 2 stars
Roo makes a face when Kanga wants to try a cookie recipe that has no sugar. The lesson gets muddled when the cookies go awry and everyone shows up with their own sweets for a pot-luck party at Kanga's house.
"If I Were You and You Were Me" - 3 stars
Tigger and Rabbit walk a mile -- or bounce a mile, rather -- in each other's shoes and get a better appreciation of the other's point of view. A fine iteration of an old trope.
"Piglet Shows Some Talent" - 4 stars
Piglet is anxious about his act in the talent show Owl is organizing, but some reassurance from Pooh eases him past the butterflies in his stomach. Piglet at his cutest.
"Oh Bother! (or Eeyore Sleeps Over)" - 4 stars
Eeyore guilts Pooh into inviting him over for a slumber party. It's a little awkward for them, but very cute for us readers.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:
