A rather uninteresting story about a group of low-rate artists living in Amsterdam in the 1950s. ( ) This book is like poetry. There is meaning behind every sentence and you have to really take your time to read this novella. This doesn't mean I liked it. Granted, there are some marvellous sentences, funny passages and good ideas. The rest of the book seemed a bit pompous and overdone. The story is about a guest house with various artists as its inhabitants. Two of the artists live next to the other. The magician likes the juggler, but the juggler has a great antipathy for the magician. The magician cannot stand this idea and thinks of ways to make the juggler like him. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
