This is an absolutely fantastic book! I love the setting of Prune Creek, 1895.
There's so much going on! Train robberies, love stories, sad times, and joyful times!

The characters are wonderful! They are so relatable and easy to like! The aunts- oh my! I laughed out loud several times due to their antics! Charlotte is a giver. She gives freely her time and her affection. Tobias is hunkalicious! He's a hard worker, compassionate, and caring. Lanie stole my heart! She's absolutely precious! There are also some familiar characters from The Wyoming Series books. My absolute favorite is Ambrose! His personality is endearing!

I love that faith in God is prevalent throughout the book! It's encouraging when the characters are facing difficulties that they pray and put their trust in God! The theme of forgiveness is apparent. Tobias and Charlotte were adversaries in their youth, but they forgive each other and move on from the past.

Penny Zeller does such a fantastic job writing and researching! She's one of my favorite authors!

When Love Comes is the third book in the Wyoming Sunrise series but can also be read as a standalone but who would want to when the other two were great reads. I was so happy Charlotte and Tobias were given their own story. It is heartwarming and Faith is woven in intricately to show what wonderful characters these are. I loved Lanie and felt such empathy for her circumstances and admired what a kind child she was. She brought so much to the story as did the aunts who brought humor . I smiled and laughed at their shenanigans throughout. It is such a delightful read that leaves you feeling satisfied and happy afterwards. I love the historical facts included and the research that is done by this author to make the story realistic and believable. I was drawn in from the beginning and was biting my nails at some curveballs that I didn’t see coming. An all around great read that you do not want to miss.

“When Love Comes” ran me through a wringer of emotions. I laughed, cried, sighed, and was ultimately satisfied. This third book in the Wyoming Sunrise series took me to the enchanting 1895 town of Prune Creek, Wyoming and offered a host of emotions, faith, and grace.

The story revolves around Charlotte and Tobias, who were once childhood adversaries. I enjoyed witnessing their relationship evolve into an unexpected and heartwarming romance. Charlotte is given substance, and I loved her booklover ways and witty banter with Tobias. (And the aunts were amusing!)

As a lover of second-chance stories, and anything written by Penny Zeller, (whether historical or contemporary) I was entertained, enchanted, and inspired by this story. Ms. Zeller succeeds in creating warm characters and weaving threads of faith, forgiveness, and grace throughout the pages. This is my favorite of this series so far.

When Love Comes by Penny Zeller is a Christian Historical Romance. This book is the third book in the Wyoming Sunrise series. Charlotte Eliason comes to Prune Creek to visit her aunts and heal her broken heart. The last person she expects to see is her nemesis, Tobias Hallman. As the two get reacquainted, Charlotte discovers she may have been wrong about him.

With matchmaking aunts around, the two constantly find themselves together. Penny Zeller skillfully weaves together a story including faith, romance, danger, and even the unexpected. When tragedy strikes their hometown, the two work together to protect Tobias’ orphaned niece.

Including wealthy relatives of the niece who attempt to adopt her out from under Tobias adds a great dimension to this story. But you will have to read this book for yourself to see how the matter gets resolved.

As the third book in the series, you could read this book on its own, but you will lose quite a bit about the characters. So I definitely recommend reading the books in order.

I enjoyed this story that was very entertaining and easy to read. Charlotte was fun to read about as she faces her foe, Tobias. They have known each other for a long time. I had to laugh when she runs into him while she is visiting her aunts. Tobias is the last person she thought she would run into years later in a town where she thought she would be able to heal her broken heart.

Tobias is shocked to see Charlotte but he doesn’t seem to mind too much. Perhaps he is hoping to rekindle a friendship but Charlotte may have other plans. When he receives an unsettling telegram from home, he decides he must go and find out what is going on. To his surprise he sees Charlotte on the same train. They both are dealing with emotional trials while waiting to see what they will discover once they arrive at their home town.

There are many moments where we see how skilled the author is as she weaves a beautiful thread of faith throughout the story. It is clear that our characters trust God even in the midst of their struggles. It was interesting to watch as they slowly begin to have feelings for each other. This part of the story shows how forgiveness and trust opens doors to their hurt and allow the pain to ease as they surrender to their faith.

I have to mention how much fun it was to have the aunts in this story. They are funny, cantankerous, matchmakers and a hoot to be around. One of them is famous for being the worst baker in town. Poor thing has no idea that her huckleberry pie is so bad that people get sick from it. They both have good intentions as they want their niece to find happiness.

Tragedy strikes and finds that hard decisions need to be made. I was so upset when I read about what one character faces. I won’t give anything away, so be sure to grab a copy and enjoy a look at how two people overcome their past to bring security to someone very special.
