Dachshund to Death is the seventh in the Barkview Mysteries cozy mystery series by.C.B. Wilson but the first I’ve read. It started slowly but, once it got going, it was an enjoyable tale with a good mystery that kept me guessing and a likeable main protagonist but, at least for me, it was the dogs who kept me reading. Overall, a fun Christmas cozy. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

I do love dog mysteries, and I LOVED THIS BOOK! C. B Wilson pens a mystery that had me questioning Sandy's sister, and MANY others, but I never would have guessed who the killer was!! I loved that the competition was a dog friendly ginger bread house and that a dog would have the final say on three choices, Now, is Kat thinking about adding a dog to her and Russ's life? ( )
