Very good collection of comics originally serialized in Inferno magazine if I am not wrong. Inferno was a magazine very similar to AD2000 and if you liked art and story format from that magazine you will enjoy this collection.
Story starts with junior Adeptus Mechanicus Princeps Hekate becoming the member of veteran crew of the Warlord Titan combat machine in observation role. Due to unforeseen events he will be forced to take over the command and establish the cybernetic connection with the huge war machine. This is as intimate connection as one can imagine - since it is not that pilot (Princeps) gets to run the machine (Titan humanoid war machine) but machine needs to accept the pilot. As a result both pilot and machine and become one body, one soul.
And thus story begins - we follow the Hekate and his crew as they get deployed across the battlefields on various planets in Imperial space fighting Orks, Tyranids and Chaos forces. And making alliances along the way, it was truly great to see Eldar Titans marching and fighting side by side with Imperial counterparts..
Due to the nature of the original publishing episodes are rather short and ever so often you get all the information from the previous episodes repeated (which might look weird when reading story in one piece so to say).
Story wise this is action comic - we follow the mighty war machine and its crew as they get deployed across battlefields in space encountering terrifying foes and strange phenomena. During all these adventures crew finds themselves in situations where they start question each other and try to find the courage to persevere in perilous and deadly situations.
Excellent collection, highly recommended to fans of action comics and Warhammer 40k in particular. ( )
