She puts a very funny and witty twist to many classic fairytale stories that we all know and love. The stories are being told in the point of view of dogs and includes some classics like, Little Red Riding Hood which is called Little Red Riding Hound, and Cinderella who is called Cindersmelly. This book is sure to have kids laughing at the goofiness of the dogs and the nosy cats in this story. I really enjoyed this book. I love fairy tales and so do young readers. The author is brilliant in her dog perspective on very popular fairy tales. She did a great job or transforming a regular fairy tale into one that is being told by a cat. Little Red Riding Hound as opposed to Little Red Riding Hood, is my favorite of them all. Instead of running into a wolf, little red riding hound runs into an evil cat. The stories were also very comical and included little side notes in which the two cats narrating are arguing about the story. This book was a great book to read. It can also be used in the classroom to in-cooperate fairy tales and introduce them to young readers. This book is a collection of fairy tales that are made in a dog point of view. The fairy tales are Cindersmelly, Little Red Riding Hound, Jack Russell and the Beanstalk, The Princess and the Pekinese, Rapawnzul, and The Doberman’s New Cloths. These fairy tales are amusing and show a different way to portray a fairy tale. This is a great read aloud book to introduce fairy tales to children. This book could be used in a project on rewriting fairy tales. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
