Attualmente non vi sono conversazioni su questo libro. i am very aware that i was just really, really in the right mood for this, and that usually i probably would have rated it entirely differently. but then, that's probably a lot more common than i think, just this time i know it. this is really silly, bordering on ridiculous. very over the top. but instead of finding it annoying or cringey, like i think i usually would, i found this funny and kind of sort of sweet. i'm not sure that the characters are actually trying their best or that their intentions are good even when things turn out badly; but there's something redeeming about all of them and i like to think they'll grow into being better people. in the meantime, this was fun and almost thoroughly enjoyable, in spite of the hijinks that would generally be too much for me. it also helps that the narration was simply inspired, just perfect for the book. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

"It's Libra Season, and Cat Phillips is ready to run headfirst into love. The only problem is that her crush is on her best friend, Alison Bridgewater, who is more interested in chatting with boys. Maybe Cat should take this as a sign to get over Alison, even if that means dating the musically challenged Jamie Owusu. After all, a new boyfriend is the best cleanse, at least according to Cat's friends. Unfortunately, having a boyfriend is a lot harder than Cat expected. And then Morgan Delaney swoops in with her green glasses, enigmatic smile, and talent for teasing Cat in ways that make her feel überlicious. But Morgan is a Gemini, and there's no way that's in Cat's horoscope. Will Cat finally get the girl of her dreams? Or is there a chance there's more to life than Alison Bridgewater?"-- Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

I think this is one of those books where the intended age group would immediately connect with at least one aspect of the story. The characters are actually incredibly diverse and the writer has a fun writing style. I think it was cute that she used little things at the end of some chapters-like text messages, poems, emails and things like that to add another element to the story. I really thought the story was cute and it definitely has the humor element down.
As an adult sometimes it was hard for me to relate to the 14 year old girl but I think the author has created a story that is perfect for someone also struggling with their identity. It’s a marvelously inclusive story. I think the humor makes it a lighthearted read even though it’s a serious subject. I enjoyed watching Cat come to accept herself and work through her first crush. The zodiac dynamic was humorous. I think this one was a nice change of pace for me! ( )
