Christopher Robin takes Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore on a day trip into London to see the sights and perhaps have tea with the queen. It's a cute little excursion out of the Hundred-Acre Wood.
In watching the video, I realized that the book I have in hand is a greatly abridged version of Winnie-the-Pooh and the Royal Birthday, which was also published as Winnie-The-Pooh Meets the Queen. Winnie the Pooh Goes to London eliminates references to the queen's birthday and an appearance by Prince George among very many other things. I may have to seek out a copy of the original for our collection sometime.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out.
