"Kate Hoyle came to Camp True North Springs to help her grieving children heal. She definitely didn't come here to fall in love. But camp chef Seb Costa, working through a recovery of his own, soon cooks his way into the affections of Kate's family--especially that of her troubled son. Would risking her heart when it's barely mended be foolish? Or will they find the happiness they all deserve?"-- Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Although Kate and her family are the only campers we get to know, there are other families there. It is through their experience that the reader is allowed to see if Camp True North Springs is going to be as successful as Mason and Dana have dreamed.
The camp chef, Seb, gets to know the family well. Kimmy has serious food allergies, so he has had to plan menus that keep foods dangerous to her off the menu. However, he also bonds with Kent and realizes he is very attracted to Kate. Working in an environment where he should have limited interaction with the campers, how is this going to work out?
This is a well-written story, but I do wish the reader also had the opportunity to learn more about some of the other campers. I also would have enjoyed reading about more than the few opportunities mentioned that were offered to help them learn to cope with their loss. The budding romance between adults Seb and Kate comes across as being just as important as the children’s healing process.
I was fortunate to receive a copy of this book in a prize drawing by the author. No promise was made of a review, and any opinion here is strictly my own. ( )
