This collection shows promise, and it was generally enjoyable. I felt that the first story was one of the weakest, and as such I regretted a little having bought it, but it did get better. There are a number of anachronisms in that first story that threw me out, and no sense that they were deliberate or that the story was deliberately ahistorical.

My favourites would be Three Door Saloon - about the risks of gambling with a devil; Rusted Wings - giving a rusted dragon and a thief a chance at something different; and the eponymous Terralight, which had an altogether too predictable twist, but did a good job of getting there.

Overall, the writing and world-building are good, while the characterisation and plots are a bit wooden. There is potential, and I'm interested in seeing where Jeffs goes from here. ( )
