One of Olympia's most-popular (and most-pirated) works, Play My Love is the tale of Willy, a sculptor of erotic appendages, his loves, and the rich baron they try to take down in an intricate scam. Traversing the highs and lows of Paris, with samplings of drug culture and the aristocracy on offer, Play My Love reaches its astonishing conclusion in a moment of devil worship, at once comic, erotic and absolutely breathtaking, that represents an extraordinary achievement, even from a publisher that accomplished so much. Author Baron (Baird Bryant), later achieved renown as a cameraman and cinematographer, notably for the Harlem documentary "Cool World." This title is also known as "Play My Love." Set in Paris and filled with tons of beatnik speak, this smut classic was first published in 1955 as #6 in the Traveler's Companion series. Willie Baron was actually Baird Bryant, who went on to become a noted cameraman and cinematographer, most notably for the Harlem documentary, Cool World. He passed away in 2008. According to the back of the book this was one of Olympia's most pirated works and was also released under the title Play This Love. This edition published in 2004 by Olympia Press.com. #67 in the New Traveler's Companion series. 131 pages. (
