It has pronunciation help for new vocabulary words and good diagrams/photos. After it talks about a term it has a fun experiment for students to try in order to watch it happen themselves. It also includes some science history. ( ) Everyone loves Bill Nye, don't they? I have been teaching science for 20 years and every year students want to see a Bill Nye episode of one type or another related to the chapter in the text. This book focuses on bacteria, viruses and the immune system all of which are in the 7th and 10th grade curriculum. While this book would be appropriate for the middle school LMC, I can see high school students enjoying it as well. Science is one of those subjects where fun picutures and cartoon type explanations make the sometimes hard to understand subject matter easy and fun. This book covers the general topics of the discovery of germs, viruses, bacteria, the immune system, vaccination, and antibiotics. Good addition for the science collection. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
