Dentro c'è tutto il dolore della vita quotidiana dei salariati degli anni tra le due guerre: con gli occhi sbarrati a credere dapprima nel sogno americano e poi nella fatica di infilare un giorno dopo l'altro senza troppi debiti, perdendo via via sogni e speranze che "domani andrà meglio", accontentandosi che non vada peggio
Di qua dell'oceano per fortuna non abbiamo il mito del sogno americano, però abbiamo avuto l'ascensore sociale degli anni '60 e abbiamo creduto che non si sarebbe mai fermato. S'è proprio rotto.
Non lo so se domani andrà meglio e non sono stata educata alla speranza, sono più tipo da consuntivo e come sarà domani, lo saprò domani
