This adorable cast of furry friends will have you speeding through in one sitting and enjoying the trip. I love Weenie's optimism and determination. Frank's resolve is realistic and Beans is my hero! You'll easily fall in love with these furries and want to continue reading! ( ) Questa recensione è stata scritta per Recensori in anteprima di LibraryThing. A very fun easy to read book with the touch of naughty that kids adore. I found myself snickering a little along with my kids. Very recommended. Thank you to the author and publisher! This was a fun and fast read great for new readers, presented in a comic-strip format. I loved the first few pages, with an adorable introduction to Weenie, a dachshund owned by Bob (who also owns Frank and Beans, of a separate book series). The story follows Weenie as he professes his love for meatloaf and (spoiler alert!) ends up eating Bob’s meatloaf dinner. In the insanity that ensues (and I mean really strange, what just happened, that was a weird turn of events), the trio attempts to make/get Bob a new meatloaf, but ultimately Weenie decides to confess he was the culprit. While this was a cute book overall, and had great themes of friendship, it seemed like it was trying a little too hard to be quirky and zany, and maybe missed the mark. The plot just got kind of strange, and I stopped enjoying it - some scenes could even be a bit scary for kiddos. An interesting addition to the Frank and Beans series, but not my favorite. 3/5 stars Questa recensione è stata scritta per Recensori in anteprima di LibraryThing. This book is laugh-out-loud funny! Author Maureen Fergus's style reminds me of another of my favorite authors, Mo Willems - silly, irreverant and fun! Even the name - Weenie, featuring Frank & Beans - is delightfully clever. I hope the adventures of Weenie and his friends becomes a series - I'd definitely read them! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
