Also is a beautiful picture book about how moments often spark memories. It follows three generations, a grandmother, a daughter, and a granddaughter, all experiencing a moment that flashes back to a special memory in their lives. I loved the illustrations and how Goodale was able to show the memory and the present moment intertwining. ( )

With memory, we can be in two places at once. The girl telling the story, her mother, and her grandmother shift between past (in blueberry ink) and present (full color). "We are all here...and also there."
