There's very little to appreciate here but for the wonderful illustration, but I'm sure that's my obnoxious adult affect talking. It might be fun to read this to a little one making all of the animal noises scripted. ( )

Summary:
This book was about a group of farm animals who saw their reflection in a rain puddle and thought that their reflections were animals that had fallen into the puddle. The animals ran around frantically looking for help. The puddle dried up so the animals came to the conclusion that they had climb out safely.

Personal Reaction:
I chose this book to read because it was a older story. This book had a good story line and a cute ending.

Classroom Extension:
After reading this book to my classroom I would ask my students to answer the following question, "If the rain puddle had not dried up what do you think the farm animals would have done"?
