I have to say that I truly enjoyed this story. It was quite refreshing for me to read a book where a character didn't have some kind of crisis in realizing he is gay. Marc found he was attracted to Seth and just WENT for it. No stress, no panicking, no denial. He just accepted what he felt and went for what he wanted (which is how his personality was portrayed throughout the whole book). There were no major labels standing in Marc's way. It was a non-issue for him, and I loved that.
I thought Seth's questioning and uncertainty was realistic. He had heard Marc had a reputation at work, and he knew Marc had been "straight". Even though he was concerned about it and tried to distance himself from Marc, he gave him a chance. Seth was very much attracted to Marc, and didn't want to ignore his feelings.
The drama that occurred (with Marc's brother and girlfriend) made Marc leave for a couple of weeks without contact with Seth. They had only been together for a couple of weeks at that time and it made sense (to me) that Seth would think Marc changed his mind and left him, but it also made sense to me that Marc was not used to having someone in his life and genuinely did not think of calling Seth. He was going through a really rough time. Once he realized his mistake, he worked hard to ensure he didn't make that mistake again and showed Seth how much he meant to him.
No one is perfect, but those who can learn from their mistakes and grow are the best kind. I loved Marc and Seth together. I would re-read this again in a heartbeat.
