He hopes he is a prince turned into a dragon by a spell, but being essentially honest, he has to admit to himself that isn't likely. One day he sees an body building ad in a magazine promising, "Be the man you want to be!" He places his order and sets out to choose which man he wants to be. He selects Mr. Johnson, the portly middle aged gent who feeds the pigeons at the park. the body building exercises work, and he becomes a duplicate Mr. Johnson- except he can still breathe fire. Sam works for the circus for a while, until, because he has forgotten to do his body building exercises, he turns back into a dragon, and decides being himself is okay, too. Funny, quirky, and amusing, my Boy laughs out loud over this one, saying it's one of his favorites. The moral sounds heavy handed, but the fun is in the story on the way. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

And of course the very first page is perfect. There was once a dragon named Sam, who was very fond of bedtime stories. He liked them so much that he went to bed 87 times a day, so it was almost always time for another story."" ( )
