I did enjoy the story, but at times the pacing lagged and it felt like an overload of tell me instead of show me. It truly is unique in its genre with multiple view points used, including the clueless and lovable Lori. She's very relatable, and her ignorance about the proverbial manhunt for her just heightens the tension as you watch the net slowly close from various sides. A great way to pass a few hours. ![]() Having said that the book itself is not a bad read. I found the book at first to be a slow read with too many details about too many minor characters. As I went along I adjusted to the reading style of the novel and became interested in the storytelling. As a novel, this was a good read that concentrates on characters and their backstories. The interactions and blending of lives work well in some cases and not so well in others. As a mystery, the book does not allow the reader to follow any of the traditional crime-solving methods. The book focuses on the characters involved and not their involvement. The solution at the end of the book seemed to be an afterthought. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
