"A heart-warming and true story about an orphaned orca named Springer who was found swimming alone in the Puget Sound in 2002. The book takes us on Springer's journey from being near starvation to rescued to then the challenges of her release, eventual adoption, and the start of her own family."-- Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

Both my 5YO and 8YO loved learning the story of Springer and even listened to the expository information at the back. My 8YO is learning to take notes in school and we practiced using this book. When the book was finished, she was able to explain and sequence the story using her notes.
I recommend The Spirit of Springer: The Real-Life Rescue of an Orphaned Orca for children interested in picture books on nature, sea life, or true stories. We used it as an educational aid, but my kids would have enjoyed it simply for the story. Five stars!
