Jimmy Kimmel is a Silly Goose

This is a cute book. Jimmy is finding proceeds to Children's Hospital of LA. That is wonderful. Thank you Jimmy for making me ( and my students) smile. ( )

This book is written by Jimmy Kimmel, who is a very funny guy and he translates this well into children's literature with this fun book. We are introduced to a VERY serious goose. He is not interested in any funny business and you can't change his mind. (This is definitely an invitation for little ones to try out their goofy faces to get the goose to crack a smile.) This goose is determined not to smile and especially not to giggle! There are fun rhymes sprinkled throughout and the goose is very animated. The illustrations are also by Kimmel who has created a goose with facial expressions that have a life of their own. In the end...the kids win and get that serious goose to turn himself into a very silly goose indeed.

Delightful! I look forward to many funny faces in the future - this is one I returned to the library and immediately bought to keep. ( )
