This is one of those novels for me upon its conclusion; I was left speechless. The only word I could think of was “wow." This was an amazing book. It’s cliffhanger ending is making me highly anticipate book two, Sinners. I beyond loved this story. The title of the duet is perfect. I loved the explanation in the story.
I really enjoyed the political aspect of the novel. Both of my parents were born in Hungary. I have been there numerous times and found it interesting to witness how much the country has changed from a communist, to a socialist, to a democratic parliamentary republic. Sophia Henry does an amazing job displaying the change Russia goes through in the late eighties and early nineties.
My dad used to help people defect from Hungary, so I appreciated Kirill. Kirill is a fantastic character. He has an interesting past. He has noble intention. He can be fierce but also sweet when it comes to Stasya. Stasya is a compelling heroine. She has been through a lot. She is strong and talented. The two have amazing chemistry.
I have always enjoyed Sophia Henry’s books. She is a talented writer. She outdid herself with this book. I recommend Saints (Saints and Sinners Duet #1) to people who enjoy sports and mob romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book. ( )
