This was a fun children's novel. I love the characters, Duane is an awesome polar bear and I love that none of the humans he came across were afraid of him. I love how developed the personalities were for each of the animal characters.

Looking forward to reading Just Beyond the Very, Very Far North. ( )

This book was just so cute and for that i a giving it four stars. It was just a sweet read and one that was cozy read. I think that was mix of both the characters and also the winter setting. It also did dea with much deeper topics like "conset" and friendship but it also focused so heavily on found family elements and gave me massive winter vibes!! Such a great weekend on a cold day!! This book is extremely charming. The characters are gentle and pleasant, and it would be a perfect read aloud, or as an early independent reading book for a child starting in on chapter books. It's certainly reminiscent of Winnie the Pooh, and I enjoyed it very much. ( )
