This is a cute story about a cat who just wants all of the other animals to just Meow. The only problem is other animals join in and first dog says “Woof”, then they have to say “Meow and Woof”. As the story progresses more animal join in and they have to say that animal sound as well. There are cats, a dog, a frog, and a duck. Everything is great until they hear “Roar”. It ends with a lion saying, “what did I say”. I would recommend this for any collection. It is similar to books by Sandra Boynton and children will have a ball making the animal sounds. The illustrations are colorful and the words are big and easy to read. The expressions on the faces of the animals are great. ( ) A cat desperately tries to orchestrate a moment when all the cats say meow in unison, but other animals keep coming along with their sound effects instead. This is a rather humorous book that is perfect for read-alouds and storytimes. It's a quick read with limited vocabulary, so it'll work well for young, fidgety audiences as well as for beginning readers to tackle on their own. The comic timing of the various animal sound effects will result in much laughter. The illustrations are simple with sparse backgrounds, but it works perfectly with the tone of the story and the minimalist text. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Everybody Says Meow! Or do they? Fans of Sandra Boynton and of Jules Feiffer's classic Bark, George will meow, bark, and ribbit when they hear this hilarious picture book about a waggish group of adorable animals that just cannot follow one simple instruction.
