The jaunty text reads like an advice manual, offering one suggestion after another, from cheating at cards to make your dragon angry to vigorous tickling. In the end though, it is the magic of a kiss (and the love behind it, one supposes) that does the trick...

Originally published in French as Comment rallumer un dragon éteint, this delightful picture-book romp features a wonderfully droll narrative that will read quite well aloud, and expressive and boldly colorful artwork sure to grab and keep the reader's attention. I appreciated the use of various font sizes and colors, in the text here. The theme here reminded me a bit of Dragons Love Tacos, although in that book the object was more to prevent one's draconite friends from igniting. Recommended to all young dragon lovers who enjoy humorous tales. ( )
