Fortune, Gertie and Ida Belle finally take that much discussed Florida vacation and once more murder happens. They hit the beach, with Gertie in a bikini, Fortune and Ida Belle plan to drink a LOT and keep their eyes away from her. Of course, Gertie goes to swim, the surf is rough and she loses her bikini top, meets a man, and goes to dinner with him.

When the next morning he is dead, Gertie is the focus for a lazy, incompetent and corrupt detective. Detective will not investigate the locals, as the current Sheriff is going to announce his retirement soon and he wants to step up to the Sheriff’s position, and that won’t happen if the voters are upset with him. Out-of-towners are where he is looking.

Though Carter arranged for a lawyer, he isn’t available until after court. While waiting, Fortune schedules a fishing charter, this will hide Gertie or she will be sitting in jail instead of enjoying her vacation. As usual the boat Captain Dave becomes a friend and they have a very enjoyable day of fishing. When they arrive back ashore the Detective takes Gertie in for a statement. Some typical hijinks follow. Now, Fortune and Ida Belle know they must solve the murder of Otis.

Since Fortune is no longer hiding from that Mid-eastern arms dealer the series is moving with her as she tries to find her place in life. The comedic relief and hijinks of the far-fetched activities Fortune, Gertie and Ida Belle had gotten into trying to deceive Deputy Carter and the citizens of Sinful, Louisiana while she was undercover is evolving. Each day offers a new opportunity for an adventure. ( )
