Review: This book is very unique for an informational book and I liked that. The pictures were just absolutely stunning.

The animals, people, and starkly beautiful landscape of the mysterious Namib Desert is what we can find in this book. The pictures were amazing. ( )

Prior to viewing/reading this book, I had little to no knowledge of Namibia. Jim Brandenburg captured some of the most stunning photographs of this area while on assignment with National Geographic. With each turn of the page, one can learn about the cultures, animal, climate, geography and geology of Namibia. The photographs left me feeling amazed. My favorite of all is found on the last page where an elephant gives itself a dust bath. While the entire book was fascinating and educational, I found myself most interested with the coast and animals of Namibia.
