My grandson loved this non-fiction book about how animals keep warm. The question and answer format kept him on his toes as he did not have any idea about most of the answers. Once we read it, he wanted me to read it again, so he would get the answers correct the second time through. Asking a question about an animals sometimes was myths we had heard, sometimes just silly and others were correct. After the question, the answer of yes or no was given followed by some brief facts. The ending asks the reader how they keep warm. the illustrations were wonderful. Cartoon like, showing whatever the text was asking, then what they actually do. A great book for children, using in a classroom when teaching adaptations and just to get children thinking and predicting. A fun book. The publisher, Owlkids Books, generously provided me with a copy of this book. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

"Do polar bears build homes to keep warm? Do penguins snuggle with a friend? Yes! But their homes aren't made of wood, and penguins don't cuddle on a couch. Instead, these animals -- and many others -- have adapted in amazing ways to survive chilly weather. [This book] is a light-hearted introduction to animal adaptations around the world. Funny interactive questions paired with comic illustrations will leave readers laughing for more!"--Back cover. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
