Review: Ruby in the Ruins
A girl plays in the ruins in Britain after the world war 2 bombings with friends. She gets hurt then is brought home.
I did not like this book. The things I believe they should have explored like the girl adjusting to a new home after the old one got bombed is a Much better story of how she slipped on a rock and her parents had to bring them home. Art was passable, but did nothing unique. Barely memorable, word difficulty was not hard, but this read like a k-1st book. Nearly no interesting info and enjoyment was at a low

Ruby undergoes dramatic change when her father comes home at the end of World War II. She is not happy that he is home because he looks different and takes up lots of space in their small home. She goes with friends to play in the ruins of bombed building in her town of London Blitz. She hurts her leg and her father comes and carries her home and cleans her wound. She then decides that she loves having her father back. ( )
