Everyone can relate to trying to build a tall tower. And what happens when it falls down. "Crash! Boom!" is a great one to get young ones thinking about these concepts. ( )

This book is an easy to read to pre-k and kindergarten students to enhance their counting and estimating skills. The main character is an elephant who is trying to build a tower with blocks, but has some trouble. Although his blocks fall, he tries again and counts them. Small children will enjoy the book especially if they play with building blocks and want to build a tower their size. ( )

This book is about a little elephant that uses building blocks to make different structures that are as tall as him. This book teaches readers about the different shapes of the blocks, and their relation in size to each other. What I really appreciate about this book, is how we see the main character think critically about different ways he can combine blocks to get the best result. I believe kids can read this and understand better what thinking critically in math means. Overall, this is a good book that I would recommend for Pre-K to First Grade. ( )

This is a very simple book that shows an elephant child building a tower. As he builds, he learns that stacking the blocks in different ways can result in towers that are stronger. I like the concept but feel that it was too simple for most kids that are interested in building. ( )
