Having never been to Alaska (yet), this book allowed me to go past the contiguous United States and travel to a land that I can only dream of for the moment. I enjoyed flipping through the pages and taking in the beautifully illustrated drawings, all the while learning about the different types of wildlife found there. At the end of the book, there is even a glossary that further describes all of the wildlife previously referenced throughout the book. I think that this would be a fun and educational book for both parents and children alike. ( )
