This book just wasn't for me. I'm not the biggest Adult Science Fiction fan and this book reaffirms that for me.
It just moved a little too slow for me despite the fact that multiple plot-points were introduced. Honestly, I got a little lost in who all the characters are.
While I don't think it is necessary to read [b:A Darker Rain|20484962|A Darker Rain (A Ryan Cole Adventure)|Claudine Kapel|https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1392652221s/20484962.jpg|32661636] (the first Ryan Cole adventure), I sure think it helps orient yourself into the world. And because I didn't read that first book, I felt like I was outside looking in--despite the fact that Claudine Kapel does a great job of rehashing what happened previously.
Simply put, this book wasn't for me. I think science fiction fans who love a detailed and slower adventure will enjoy this!
