Attualmente non vi sono conversazioni su questo libro. excellent psychological suspense ( ) Michael Turner seems to have bounced back from the trauma of his past: in his late twenties he has everything he could want - a successful career in a legal firm, a loving girlfriend, a future that seems bright. However, when a new rich patron enters his life, everything Michael used to have seems tame in comparison to the riches now spread before him. But when Michael's girlfriend reacts badly to his new patron, Michael must make a choice - and the consequences of that choice aren't at all what he expected. A dark abyss of a novel, with Redmond's lens focusing on the worst side of humanity (greed, manipulation, betrayal) long enough to almost qualify it for inclusion in the 'noir' genre. Michael Turner is still fighting the demons of his childhood. An orphan, he grew up in a maze of institutions and foster homes. All he has ever wanted is to belong. Now in his early twenties, he is at last starting to escape his past. He has the love of his fiancee and is taking the first steps in a promising legal career. And when, unexpectedly, a powerful father figure enters his life, it seems that all his childhood dreams are being realised. But dreams come with a price. A very dangerous cuckoo has been allowed to enter the nest. A cuckoo who is still plagued by his own demons and can manipulate the needs and vulnerabilities of others to dreadful effect.
