This book is also written in Spanish. The author illustrated the book as well and came up with the idea of drawing tree frogs, which turned into Rafi and Rosi. Delacre grew up in Puerto Rico and ideas for her childrens books developed there. After skecthing Rafi and Rosi many times and editing her work, the illustrations were made with watercolor on watercolor paper.
