Yahoo! My new library has all the Astro City volumes my last library was lacking! Time for a week-long binge to catch up!

Filler City again! We are given a half-dozen fill-in artists for four short stories about Jack-in-the-Box and several other minor characters. I liked the cat tale and the riff on Batton Lash's Supernatural Law with attorney Marta Dobrescu. I'd love to see them in their own spin-offs. The rest is a bit ho-hum for Astro City.

I'm sad to find out today that the two volumes I have left to read represent the end of the original series. There are aspirations to bring out the occasional graphic novel at some vague time in the future, but I'm barreling toward the conclusion-as-we-know-it right now. ( )
