Normally I don’t listen to audios unless I have already read the book since I’m usually doing other things and I don’t want to miss a detail that might get blocked by my GPS telling me to turn in a few miles. This is a quick short audio read by Eddie Redmayne who plays Newt Scamander in the movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. There is a bit of history of what is a beast and what isn’t at the beginning, but the body of the book is just a list of creatures and the facts about them. The nice part with the audio is there are sound effects along with the reading of the text so it makes it a bit more entertaining. A cute listen and I think I certainly enjoyed it more than if I had bothered to read the slim volume that has been out there for years. The audible book for this is amazing. I loved it so much I have listened to it 3 times. Eddie Redmayne as the narrator is just wonderful. I loved learning about all the different beasts. After watching the movies I could actually picture some beasts while listening. I loved the extra effects that were going on in the background while Eddie Redmayne spoke. This really is a wonderful audible book. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

It opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
