Can the boy and his dog find their new friend? Mine: This is a great new series (to me) and of course it has frogs in it, so how can I not read it? Once again the illustrations can’t help but tell the wonderful story of how frog disappears and boy and dog are frantically looking for him. They search everywhere – they run into trouble all along the way also. The gopher bites boys nose, the dog gets chased by the hornets from the next he knocks down. The owl in the tree scares boy and the buck with big antlers throws boy and dog over the ledge. This is where they discover frog and his family. Can be used for many grade levels. Younger children will enjoy "reading" the pictures and making own conclusions. Older children can use for story-writing, plays, etc. A young boy's pet frog escapes from his jar while the boy is sleeping. The boy and his dog go looking for the frog. On their hunt, the boy and dog encounter bees, an owl, a deer, and a fall into a pond. They find that the pet frog has made friends with a family of frogs. Addresses hardships, friendship, pets, exploration. For younger grades, use for visual thinking and imagination. For older grade levels, use for story-writing, plays, etc. -No Awards. -use for Pre-K-1st could act out the story -This story is about a young boy who has a frog in a jar and eventually the frog escapes from the glass jar. The little boy decides to search for his frog in the woods and has his own adventures. Eventually he finds his frog, but the frog found his family. He decided to leave his frog and for exchange the little boy was able to take home a baby frog. -For the younger kids they could act out the story so they could have their own adventure and record what they find in the "woods." A sweet wordless book to read aloud with your child. Your child will be able to share and tell the story by using the pictures which are arranged in sequence. The black and white illustrations are delightful, especially the facial expressions of both the boy and his dog and the boy's oversized boots. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
