(Read Aloud) In this book, George is called to the principal’s office. He believes he is there because something is wrong and goes off on a tangent telling the principal everything that’s gone wrong lately. These incidents are clearly George’s fault, but he pins the blame on someone else every time. The principal tells him that’s not why she called him to the office. She wanted him to be on the school patrol, but not anymore. In the end, George learns to take accountability for his actions. I really enjoyed the humor in this book and how George was able to pin his wrong doings on others (while the pictures in the book showed what really happened). I believe this is a good book for children because it has a good message. It can help them learn to take accountability for their actions. This is a good read aloud book because the story is funny, the pictures will keep them engaged, and it can start a good discussion about personal responsibility. Retelling: George made an awful log of mistakes at school and when he was sent to the principal's office he thought they were the reason and tried desperately to explain why none of them were his fault. Thoughts and Feelings: Undoing the mess you've made is a hard enough job. Being forced to defend yourself is a miserable experience. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
